The Video Production Specialist is a creative storyteller with strong video post-production and production technical skills. The primary focus of this position is telling stories and communicating information clearly through video editing. This position will assist the Senior Producer in taking projects to completion and must possess the technical skills necessary to quickly ingest large amounts of raw footage, and select cogent elements essential to tell compelling and informative stories through video. This role will also help with asset management, video sharing and archival.

Job Accountabilities

  • Serves the organization in the role of video editor: edits videos, taking raw footage through post-production to final cut and distribution, creating high quality videos that clearly communicate key messages; edits videos for internal communication, social media, company events, marketing and advertising.
  • Shoots and produces internal video projects (and occasionally still photography): operational videos, internal live-event shoots and some external videos. This includes hands-on video production: filming, lighting, location sound recording and some producing responsibilities.
  • Assists in internal digital asset management, organization and video distribution: Video file sharing, EditShare (storage, back-up and archival), Brightcove Media Library, Sitecore video publishing, CTCA YouTube channel, vimeo account and associated web properties.

Key Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional video production experience, all aspects
  • Professional experience in medical and pharma industries
  • Must be knowledgeable with operating HD video cameras, lighting for interviews and recording location sound
  • Must demonstrate in-depth, working knowledge of industry standard video production technology, including hardware and software
  • Proficient with Apple Mac hardware and OS X software
  • Understanding of video production workflow from pre-production through post-production and web distribution
  • Proficient with professional NLE software: Final Cut Pro X and/or Adobe Premiere Pro Suite (AE, InCopy, MediaEncoder Audition)
  • Understanding of color correction and color grading: Final Cut Pro X, Adobe SpeedGrade, Colorista and/or DaVinci Resolve
  • Understanding of sound editing: audio checkerboarding, Adobe Audition, Avid Pro Tools, PluralEyes and/or iZotope Ozone 6, RX 4 for basic audio syncing, editing, mixing and cleanup
  • Experience with digital post-production, multiple video formats, transcoding, encoding and authoring video for distribution. Software includes: Adobe Media Encoder, Apple Compressor, MPEG Streamclip, Flip4Mac, VLC Media Player, ShotPut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, QuickTime, electronic file sharing services and Roxio Toast to compress video in formats optimized for multiple platforms

The Director of Sales and Marketing candidate will have a proven track record of garnering results through leading and motivating teams and removing obstacles to success.  The candidate will also have the ability to proactively embrace challenges and new ideas.  Strong leadership, management, decision-making, customer service, interpersonal, analytical, organizational and problem solving skills are a must for the position.  The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal/written communication skills.  Demonstrated success in a management role and an ability to succeed using a proactive (not reactive) management style are required.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and implement specific, measurable sales strategies that address specific customer preferences and priorities.
  • Actively participate in the daily sales operations of the sales office.
  • Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, training and management of the community sales team.
  • Compile and analyze all sales reports, statistics and trends and create strategies from these.
  • Conduct frequent effective sales presentations that inspire customers to take their next step in the sales process and in their research process.
  • Manage the budget, expenses, absorption targets and finances for the sales department; understand the community revenue goals and the marketing investments required to achieve these objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Two or more years of leadership and management experience preferred.

Three or more years of sales and marketing experience required.

A proven track record of attaining and maintaining sales and marketing objectives and goals.
